Reverend James Wheeler

Biography

First and foremost, “To God be the glory.” Pastor Wheeler has confessed with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God raised Him from the dead. As a baptized believer, he actively serves in the present age, engaging all his powers to fulfill his calling and do his Master’s will.

As a witness, servant, and soldier, James is on the battlefield for the Lord. He loves to preach, teach, and reach people in the Name of Jesus. Throughout his years of service in the kingdom, he has humbly held the offices of Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Youth Minister, and Assistant to the Pastor. The Bible has always been his “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.” His educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree from William Tyndale College, as well as a Master of Theology and Doctor of Divinity from the Tennessee School of Religion.

Currently, he serves as the Senior Pastor of First Progressive Missionary Baptist Church and is the President of the Calvary District Congress of Christian Education.

God has blessed him and his late wife, Donna, with three children: Darion, Terri, and Dionica.
